Our first meeting with Airbnb: Founders' first apartment in San Francisco, where it all began, on their futon nonetheless, as that was their "conference room".

How do we help them completely disrupt the travel world? How do we help them scale globally and do it in a world-class way? From a park bench meeting to a global rocket ship

Matt MacInnis, Rippling's COO and repeat client, met with Team Connery on a park bench just as he was signing their first lease. The company was in its infancy -ambitious, scrappy, and ready to scale. Connery was the first call Matt made, and we were honored to be their first core recruitment team.

In just 9 months, we made 88 hires across Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success. Some key placements included 25 engineers, Founding Product Designer, Founding Controller, and Head of Account Management. Connery was honored to play a hand in building a legacy company in HR Tech.

It all started with a call from Matt Cohler about a team that was coming to SF first from Denmark, with a pit stop in Boston, before finding their San Francisco founding roots.

As soon as Benchmark funded Zendesk, they called Connery. Our first directive was to help Mikkel Svane, founding CEO and repeat client, learn about the ins and outs of the San Francisco tech market, to help build and scale a company that would go on to change the customer service world for the better.

With a partnership of over 10+ years, Team Connery hired hundreds of employees globally, played wing woman to Mikkel while he was building out his executive team, and functioned as their core People Ops Team. From a casual introduction at Starbucks to a 10+ year partnership

Matt Cohler, a former partner at Benchmark and a Connery client from his Facebook days, introduced us to Drew Houston in line at Starbucks. About 10 days later, Connery had 2 consultants and its founding member, Nancy, alongside Drew and Arash. We had war room meetings. We helped build a recruiting machine like no other. As the leadership team grew, some of whom were placed by Connery, we quickly took on many critical roles in People Ops.

Nancy coached and mentored dozens of Dropboxers. We recruited hundreds of employees and functioned as their founding HR team. We laughed together, we worried, and we took pride in years later picking up Fortune magazine where the feature story was Drew and Arash. They are humble, intellectually curious, and beyond smart. Their magic, partnered with Connery's expertise, led to the formation of a legendary company.

It all started with a call from Dana Stadler at Matrix Partners and evolved into a 3+ year partnership.

At a pivotal time in Mudflap's growth, just as they closed their Series B funding, Connery was called in to take them from a lean company to a global giant. In one year, Connery hired more than 150 employees, nearly doubling the size of the company. From Customer Support, to Product, to Design, and to Operations.

Connery's talent team made many "first hires" for Mudflap and helped change the course of their culture. Mudflap is still an active Connery client 3+ years later.
